My favourite experiment is data interrogation. In order to identify bad mutations within the DNA in one person, there are several steps to be conducted to make sure that the data are accurate and contain no errors. I really enjoy the very last one of these steps were I can try to find the genes causing the person’s disease.

My favorite experiment is the ATLAS experiment at CERN. It records particle physics collisions produced from the Large Hadron Collider. We analyse these data to study the building blocks of the Universe. Recently we discovered a new one: the Higgs boson. We hope to find new ones soon!

I love the experiment you might do at school where you map out a magnetic field with iron filings or a compass. Very cool that there’s some thing there (a magnetic field) you cannot see by eye!
