For me, it was a “step-by-step” choice by excluding the area of research that I did not like. I started with studying Biology and over my undergraduate, I had the opportunity to try different biological disciplines. From the practicals, I thought that genetics wasn’t that bad. So, I have done the BSc project in genomics, i really enjoyed it and i decided to stay in this field.

When I started studying physics at school, I was impressed when I understood what creates day/night and seasons. It was the movement of our planet, either around its axis (day/night) or around the Sun (seasons). From then I was in love with physics. I wanted to learn more about the Universe and help discover new things. In other words, to become a researcher and teacher of physics.

I always loved physics most over chemistry or biology. I like that there’s a known process to things, rather than arbitrarily cutting up bits of liver! Physics has magnets, electricity, heat, cold, space, stars… all kinds of interesting things!
