• Question: how come we can see the stars at night

      Stars are very bright! The Sun is a star and it’s bright enough to even see in the day! In fact the Sun is so bright it washes out the light from all the other stars, so we have to wait until the Sun goes behind the Earth to see the other stars. Lots of stars are a great deal brighter and bigger than our Sun, though!

      All the light from the sun gets in the way in the daytime, but remember that all stars are suns too! That means when our sun isn’t in the way, then all the light from them can make its way here, so we can see it
