• Question: Has anyone ever been nasty to you when you were younger because you wanted to be a scientist?

      Some people do get jealous of others they think are doing something cleverer than them. It’s just their way of expressing their bad emotions. You just need to keep telling yourself that you have a better idea than them of what you want to do in life.

      Also, remind yourself that there’s absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to know how the world works. In fact YOU should be the one asking THEM why they don’t want to expand their minds and know more!

      School can be tough – I certainly had bad times – but in the grand scheme of things it only lasts a few years, then you can get out of that place and never see those people again :mrgreen:

      No, not at all. They were nasty because I was not much talkative or because I was a bit “overweight”. Never because I wanted to do a scientific career
