Yes, I do very much. I like working in a field of research that aims to improve diagnosis, treatment and care of patients with the use of genomics.

I do enjoy a lot being a scientist! We are the frontier of human knowledge. We are the first to find out things about our Universe. We then transmit the information in nice outreach format to all humanity. We work with the latest state-of-the-art lab equipment and computer software that we create ourselves. We get to travel every year to different countries for conferences and workshops to present our research results to our peers. We get to teach to students the latest discoveries in science and train the next generation of scientists! We are driven by curiosity and feel very lucky we are paid to follow this curiosity!

I love being a scientist! I get to buy and play with expensive bits of equipment, design experiments no-body else has done before, test ideas, and travel the world telling people about it. What’s not to like?!
